Dressing up in costumes, shocking appearances, weird funny behaviors. Everyone is going all out for this special occasion! 

SPIRIT WEEK- there is many days where people can really be yourself but, on Meme day, people have a chance to stand out and show who they really are. Meme day shows the pop culture in what teenagers these days define as funny.  

Isabella Wray, a freshman who has been with our district for a long time has a few words on how this theme is something to look forward to. 

“I think it is a fun day to just mess around and show off your best creative and awesome skills that we have,” Wray said. 

Additionally, Sam Riggs, another freshman from our school agreed on the same reason. 

“I think it’s something that doesn’t happen often and it’s fun to see everyone’s outfits,” Riggs said. 

Furthermore, people sometimes just come out of there shell and get somewhat more involved in activities. 

“My friend Catie Catarra had to mainly encourage me to do a duo meme with her,” Wray said. 

Others may think that there can be pros and cons about meme day. Here are some from both sides of the argument.  

“The worst thing probably about meme day is when the kids don’t get them, and you would have to explain it,” Wray said.  

On the other hand, some people believe that it has some positivity to it. 

“I think that the best thing about it is that we can recreate them and just have some fun with it and just enjoy it,” Riggs said. 

But before meme day happens some people had some original thoughts and thought it would be different than they expected. 

“My first feeling was I thought it was going to be boring, but I really enjoyed it,” Wray said. 

Riggs thought of meme day as a different perspective. 

“I originally thought it was going to be a lot of fun and giggles, and it was,” Riggs said.  

Students enjoy different themes each day and start to realize how much fun or bad it can be. 

“The whole thing (week) in general was so much fun and I was glad I participated in it! Overall, I’d just say to have fun with it and enjoy it while it lasts,” Riggs said. 

Overall, just think about how it could be so much fun to participate in activities when you get into high school, and how it can make your high school experience some what a nice environment and experience!
