As students prepare to take their exams some question their studying.

Preparing for finals is extremely stressful for all students.

It is the last thing that goes into the grade book and that grade you receive could change your grade a whole letter.

While studying for finals it is crucial to not waste any time with any sort of distractions.

It is time to put away the snacks. Turn off netflix. Stop watching TikTok, and get productive.

However, being productive doesn’t mean studying for hours because at that point you are just over analyzing the material you are looking over.

The best thing to do would be to study for short intervals. So you don’t end up getting sidetracked or terribly bored.

Even though finals are only three half days. It can be difficult to stay motivated to keep on studying , but you just have to remember that grades do not define you and next semester is a fresh start.

If you end up not getting the grade you want it will not be the end of the world. The only thing you can do is move forward and not dwell on the grade.

I personally think that finals bring on some  unnecessary stress.

Not everyone wants to go to college and I feel like school is pressuring everyone to go on the same path.

Some people want to start a business or be an entrepreneur.

I just wish schools would emphasize different paths more, because it seems like everyone just thinks college and trade school are the only options.

Don’t get me wrong though, finals are very important and it’s still important to try your hardest even if you are not planning on going to college or furthering your education.
