New Dance and Cheer Uniforms
The Dance and Cheer teams received new uniforms for the 2022 and 2023 season.
For the 2022 and 2023 school year, the Papillion-La Vista High School dance and cheer teams received new uniforms to jump start their seasons. The new uniforms have a retro style to them, which has sparked many differing opinions amongst the teams.
Dance team seniors Alyssa Salinas and Brookelyn Brighton have been dancing on the team since their freshman and sophomore years.
“I love that on the dance team we all get along so great,” Salinas said.
For the seniors, it has been 3 years since they got new uniforms.
“The uniforms this year are more old school,” Brighton said. “We are adding rhinestones to them too! That will make them look even better!”
Sophomore Valeria Robles was also excited that the cheer team got new uniforms.
“The new uniforms are very pretty and also very interesting,” Robles said.
Uniforms for a team can be very important for many different reasons. Cheer and Dance both use them for performances, events and more.
“The first time we wore the uniforms was at a parade,” Robles said.
The uniforms also can mean a lot for how the team feels and acts. Dance team coach Lisa Martin liked how having uniforms helps the team perform.
“Uniforms are important as they help the team look together. We also like getting new uniforms to stay on trend and up to date,” Martin said.
For both teams, getting the opportunity to have the new uniforms was great! Be sure to check out the teams at monarch home games!
