Favorite Fall Activities

Apple cider. Hot chocolate. Pumpkins and pumpkin carvings. Haunted houses. Pumpkin pie and pretty leaves. It is finally that time of the year. The time to get out and do something fun with your friends or maybe a significant other before the hard winter cold hits and it’s time to stay indoors.

It has officially become fall time and cooled off a bit from the summer heat. Its time to start putting those big comfy sweaters and enjoy your favorite fall activities, whether that’s going out to a pumpkin patches or just curling up at home with a scary movie and maybe even some hot chocolate.

One of the most popular things to do during fall and for the Halloween time is going to haunted houses. They are especially fun and exciting to go to with your friends and see who gets the scared the most and maybe one will even backout.

i like to go to haunted houses with my friend, her older sister and sometimes her mom comes too.” freshmen Tori Schleis said “we like to mess with some of the people that are dressed up and sometimes they chase my friend cause she is usually the most scared.”

But others may not like them as much… or at all.

“I hate going to haunted houses because they scare me too much” junior Micah Rodriquez said, “They make me scream and cry like a little girl and run out of them.”

Fall is also when things can get a little crazy and busy with both Halloween and thanksgiving within just a month of each other and then Christmas time and New Years right after going into winter.

“Thanksgiving is my favorite because then I can eat a lot of stuffing and there is a lot of food to eat” Rodriguez said.

There are a lot of different things to do to get into the fall season. Most people decorate their house or their yard and others just simply change their wardrobe for the cooled off weather or go out to do their favorite fall activities. There are a lot of good new foods and drinks during this time too, such as pumpkin pie and apple cider. Fall brings good things all around and it only comes once a year so enjoy it while it lasts.
